Our Challenge

In Vanuatu, childhood malnutrition remains a serious and ongoing concern.
Despite the country’s natural resources, many families struggle to access affordable, high-quality protein.

According to UNICEF and regional nutrition data, around 30% of children under five in Vanuatu are affected by stunting, a condition caused by long-term inadequate nutrition. Stunting limits not only physical growth but also brain development, learning ability, and future earning potential.

Protein deficiency during early childhood is a key contributor to this challenge. For many children, animal-source protein such as eggs is either unavailable, unaffordable, or consumed irregularly, particularly in rural and outer island communities.
